The ODBC administrator program is used to create data source names, or DSNs, so that programs can access databases. The ODBC administrator is installed whenever ODBC is installed, which means it’s installed when SQL Server is installed or when any Microsoft product that works with databases is installed like Microsoft Access or Microsoft Excel. Also , the ODBC administrator is installed with MDAC package.
The easiest way to start the ODBC administrator is from Control Panel. Selecting the ODBC object in Control Panel, start the ODBCCP32.CPL applet, Which starts programs in the ODBCCP32.DLL File.
