Latest Satyam paper at BTLIT, Bangalore on 12th May, 2007
In the beginning of the selection process, a written test was conducted which was of 30 minutes duration and it had 15 questions with negative marking of 0.25 for each question. The questions are listed below:
i) A monkey is climbing a 21 meter long pole. It climbs 6 m in 1 second and slips down 3 m in next second. How many seconds it will take to reach at the top of the pole?
ii) Simple interest is given for some data and it was required to calculate compound interest.
iii) Fill the series : AC, BG, CE, DI, _ , EG
iv) A man walks 2 km in north direction and then takes a turn and walks 4 km in west direction. How far he is from the point of start?
v) Find the average cost of book if cost of x books is Rs. 15 and cost of y books is Rs. 8.
vi) One question was related to probability.
Next stage was group discussion. Topic was “Do woman fare as a better manager?”
The last stage of selection process was HR and technical interview. The candidate’s branch was telecom and the interviewer expressed his relent ness to ask questions on that. On further probing, he asked question related to electronics. Another member of panel asked lot of questions related to HR like common HR practices, ERP solutions etc.
