Latest Infosys paper at MITS, Gwalior on 4th May, 2007
The written test comprised of 2 sections:
1. Reasoning Test: (30 questions, 40 minutes duration)
Q.1-5: They were based on a set of statements and basically required analytical capability to solve them. The statements went something like this .. There are 5 cities A, B, C, D, E and each of them has a population of 20 lacs. The information regarding latitude and longitude of cities were also given. Then, questions were asked based on that.
Q. 6-10: It was required to find out the odd figure in a set of diagrams.
Q. 11-15: They were based on data sufficiency.
Q.16-20: They were based on data interpretation and some pie charts were given.
Q. 21-25: They were analytical problems.
Q. 26-30: They were based on 9 rules of syllogism.
2. English Test: (40 questions, 35 minutes duration)
Q.1-10: They were based on 2 paragraphs – one big and another small.
Q. 11-20: It was required to find out the correct sentence among four sentences.
Q. 21-27: It was required to correct an underlined phrase in the given sentence.
Q.28-35: Fill in the blanks.
Q.36-40: They were some paragraphs and it was required to draw inferences from them.
Interview:
Following are some of the questions asked in the interview:
1. Have you been selected in any other company?
2. Who is India’s finance minister, defense minister etc. (GK)
3. Please comment on captaincy of Rahul dravid?
4. How many centimeters are there in one inch?
5. Please specify any five strong currency names?
6. What is the optimum angle at which a gun should be fired to reach maximum distance?
7. Have you heard of BRIC?
And so on.
