INFOSYS PAPER ON 23rd MARCH
hi guys,
i m on top of da world coz i got selected in Infosys. dis was my Ist apti as well as first personal interview.
Here is an overview as well as sum tips n tricks.
Aptitude test
Quantitative aptitude----------
It contained 30 Q. for 30 minutes.
It was damn difficult.
It was entirely different from what was Expected.
Usual papers contained series, puzzles, syllogism etc
But We had 3 puzzles n just one syllogism question with a q. on figure series having 5 parts.
Please start preparing for any aptitude test now.
or at least 5 days in advance before appearing for test.
Sample Ques.
there is a cube of 10 cm side colored red.Oder is a 2 cm strip of green color on each face along each side.if cube has been cut into 125 equal parts.then answer da Ques--
(1)how many cobs had 3 green faces.
(2)How many cubes were not colored.
(3)how many cobs had at least one face colored.etc.
Tips----
time management is necessary coz without time management after solving 10 Ques u will hear invigilator announcing '5 min remaining' and he will confiscated our paper literally.
check for tricks to solve Syllogism Qs from CAT material of any management training institute.
give only one minute to one problem.
don't depend on others to copy as nobody will get time.
Verbal Aptitude-----------------
there are 30 Qs for 40 minutes.
there were two damn big paragraphs and some fault finding Questions with some problems on best fit.
i think u will not be able 2 prepare good for dis test as der are unexpected questions always.
Tips----
attempt all the Ques as early as possible
attempt those Qs first containing small sentences.
don't read whole paras plz...just read a Q and scan da para for answer.
read the answers with good concentration coz if all da answers are almost same, some may contain some silly errors like "then for Than", etc.
Personal Interview
my pI was really good and interviewer was really impressed with me.
How??????????????????
Coz i cud justify every sentence i spoke and i did not bluff for a single moment. i communicated very well. he asked me sum qs related to my profile. then he asked me a puzzle and i wasn't able to answer it. but i tried a lot and gave him two valid clues to solve he problem. he was impressed n he only said date i didn't want da answer but i wanted to see bur approach.
den he only told me da solution. I wood suggest to pick up Questions from dis site only and hence please prepare our answers for all possible questions of a HR interview.
Tips------
do self talk while sleeping with positive thinking in mind and get da ans of Qs related to ourself.
ask cur best friends for our good qualities.
ask our family for our ad qualities.
give mock interviews to our communication skills teachers.
prepare to speak well.
some answers like "tell me something about ourself" u can by heart also.
concentrate on puzzles.
