INFOSYS Placement Paper at Bhopal on 13th March

INFOSYS PAPER ON 13th MARCH AT BHOPAL
I am Anand Parsai from UIT-RGPV, Bhopal.We had an open campus for info sys in our college on 13th march 2007. Nearly 560 students sit in the written exam from different colleges.We had ppt in the morning followed by aptitude test consisted of :
Before test started we were asked to fill up a form in which you are supposed to fill personal details.
1. Quantitative test: 30 Ques – 40 mins
It had 6 ques each had 5 internal questions(6*5=30)
Puzzles-2, di-1,ds-1,non-verbal-1,syllogism-1
Puzzles were real tough one ,their standard was more than those given in R.S.Agrawal .
Di ds very easy,rest was ok.
2.English : 40 Ques –30 mins
This is more scoring if you are strong in grammar.Please prepare tenses specially you will get about 15 or more ques only on tenses itself.
Two passages-10 ques
Correcting sentences(Grammar)-10 ques
Fill in the blanks(Grammar) –10 ques
5 Ques were on reading ability you have analyze passages.
5 Other ques on grammar only.
Any good grammar book(e.g. Wren and Martin) can be reffered.
Our results of aptitude were declared at about 5:30 p.m.,nearly 100 students had cleared it,then we were called for h.r. interview .
H.R.INTERVIEW:
It was a cool interview ,a madam took my interview she asked me about my college, family,school.Difference bow cbse and mp board, my hobbies.I was asked that apart from books ,how do I try to increase my knowledge, I told her Internet is the best means of gaining any type of information,then she asked about the name of sites I told her about Google search etc.,then she named Freshers world,I told her that this site is very helpful even I got sample papers of changed patterns of Infosys from this site itself, she started laughing.
Then she gave me a puzzle, if you have one iron piece and 1 magnet of same dimensions how will judge the difference,ans was that at center mag field is min so iron bar cannot be placed at center of magnet vertically but vice-versa is possible. She was very friendly throughout the interview.
Finally results were declared at 9:00 p.m., and I was selected, I was even more happy to see that nearly 60 students were selected from our college, a real proud for our GEC,all our good friends have been selected. Finally I would like to thank our college for providing us this opportunity.In the end I would just say that never give up, keep on trying ,have faith in god and one day you will get success.
