This Infosys paper is of 1st FEB taken at JIIT NOIDA. Here are the details

40 min 6 question 5 frm each...
SECOND ROUND...
30 min ---- 40 question
2 passage of 1 page each--- 5 frm each
Fill in the blankss... Preposions,verbs tenses...5 -10 ques
4-5 lines passges.... which of the following best discribes the passage........ 5 question

Rahul this is the latest Infosys Papern. I myself have given infosys exam last month. If you have some specific question in mind than feel to ask.
cn u tell me the cutoff marks of each section.Is there any specific cutoff or it depends on the marks obtained by the student

Hi Apurv, the above paper is the lastest (one month old only) paper of infosys. They are not going to change the pattern in a month obviosuly.
Just see what sections it has and prepare likewise. WHen is your test ?
As far as cutoffs are concerned, It's difficult to tell what it is. I think alot depend on the difficult of the paper. I also feels How many ppl infosys is going to take also decides what is overall cutoff.
You should not concerned on such thing and try to attempt everything as the time they give is suffcient.
And NO I don't think RS Agrawal is suffcient. It is for apti only and I think it is outdated. Infy now keeys lot's of image/graphic questions like there ar 4 images and find the next image. There were 5 such questions in the last months exam. Such questions are not covered by RS agrawal.
Also concentrate on english as well. For that read Verbal of RS Agrawal and Barron's GRE book.

@Apurv - My Pleasure. If you ever have any doubt or want to ask something than feel free to start a thread.
@Rahul - Yes, though not official but there has to be a sectional cutoff. You have to score more than 50-60% I guess though very hard to say. Also now infosys have given few tough questions on deductive logic as well.
Like a question was something like this -
Sunil Gavaskar has been asked to judge four players. Sachin, Rahul, Ravi and Vinod. Now one of them plays straight drives well, other hooks well, one pulls well and one square cuts well. Also one stays on wicket for longer time but it is not dravid, One is aggresive player but his favourite shot is not pull. And so on...So lot's of data was given and from it 5 questions were asked.
Such questions are not covered in RS agrawal.

I happen to be very good at logical reasoning n such things, so I'm sure that seeing the current pattern, I can do extremely well on the test. Now I've been told there might be an upper cut-off? Is it true?
Zaphia, I myself have heard such theories when I had sat for IBM that there is an Upper cutoff and IBM will not take people who score very high.
Honestly, I don't think you have to worry about it.Do your best as Intentionally doing bad because you think there is upper cutoff is NOT a very smart thing.
Be yourself, Give your BEST and leave the rest. If you are that Good, you can get other job easily.

Hi Keerthi, If possible try to get Barron's GRE book or RS Agrawal's Verbal Book. They are good and should help you in startup.
Also do lot's of synonyms/antonyms problems as well as fill in the blanks with most appropriate word(like a/an/the or may be some other similar words)
They give two passages in english. The passage can be time consuming so be fast in reading it. I will advice you to first read the 5 questions of the passage, than start reading the passage and as soon as you encounter related stuff, immediately write the answer. In this way, you only have to read the passage only once.
by seeing ur replies it seems to b very though i.e verbal is it so i may b having infy exam in apr so can u send some papers (new pattern if possible)

Anyway I have already told this many times that there is nothing much in infosys test. Now they stress more on your english and aptitude. You will two paper one on english and other on aptitude. Search on www.coders2020.com and you should be able to find alot of content on infosys.
