How to write a resume

Before you start reading this article, I will highly advice you to go and read to first make a list of the things which you need to put down. Than follow these steps to write a resume. Please do note that these are some common ways of writing a resume and you need not to follow exact same pattern. The content of resume differs by the job and hence it is important that you make your own custom resume.
1. Mostly in India, I have seen people writing there "synopsis" i.e what do they want to do at the top which is a fair practice. You Should also do this but DO NOT over do it. 2-3 lines should be enough and be realistic. Say what you want and to do in life and (may be) what you expect from the company.
2. After synopsis people write there Academic records like how much marks they have scored in undergraduate, higher secondary and secondary. Make a 3x4 table (3 rows and 4 columns). In the first row put Undergraduate college name, year of passing, percentage scored and any special remarks like Honors in Embedded systems or batch topper or PCM-95% for school records.
3. After this you can mention your academic achievements. Only put college level once unless you have something really good to mention from schools. Mention the conferences or any seminars you have attended. 3-4 points should be enough
4. After this, you can mention your skill set. Again put this in a very organized way, NO one has time to spend more than 3 minutes on it. Make a nice table with 2 columns, first column having skill type and the second skill names for example

Programming Languages                C, C++, Java
Operating systems                    Windows 98/XP, Linux
...
...

etc.
5. Write your Personal Info like Age, Gender, Permanent address. This can be put above Skill set too.
6. After personal info, you can put all your extra curricular activities. All your non academic achievements will come here. If you are college team captain or house captain, than put it here. There is NO need of putting anything of school,honestly.
7. In the end, you can put write down whether you have passport or not any such skills like foreign languages known.
Make sure ALL this comes in ONLY 2 pages. Things should be properly aligned and important matter in bold. DO NOT use any font size greater than 12 anywhere. Times New Roman is standard font type for writing resumes. DO NOT use any color than
